Andrea Galeazzi, one of the best-known faces in the Italian tech scene, has returned to talk about the projects of GridShare, the startup that brought to Italy the model of shared solar parks. An opportunity to discover not only the successes already achieved, but also the technological news And the future prospects of the energy transition available to everyone.

The Ceprano park: the first winning step thanks to new technologies

The first stop in the “GridShare” world is obviously that of the Ceprano solar park, the first designed and built by the startup, which Galeazzi had gone to discover at the start of the project.. Despite the minor problems that arose during the installation (derived from the particular nature of the terrain and solved quickly and brilliantly), the solar park is ready and working.

The technological choices were the most advanced: in fact, the solar panels are not only bifacial (in order to collect direct light and also diffused light), but they can be adjusted on two different axes. In this way, photovoltaic panels “chase” the sun, during different hours of the day, to always guarantee maximum efficiency.

The movement is regulated through an advanced algorithm, which is based not only on the time of day, but also on the time of year (distinguishing between winter and summer). In addition, the system monitors weather conditions in real time, in particular wind speed, rain intensity and temperature. In this way, the panels are also oriented to avoid being damaged, in the event of adverse weather events.

The entire system is covered by a high-resolution video surveillance system: so that employees and technicians can intervene quickly to avoid and solve any problems.

A success, that of the Ceprano camp, which represents only the first step for GridShare, which has shown that it is always looking ahead: and it did so starting immediately with a second project, which met the public's favor and the funders and focused on the optimal use of existing resources.

Augusta solar park: a new success, with a keen eye on investors (and the environment)

Galeazzi's journey to discover the news of GridShare continues with a new jewel in the company's crown: in fact, the success of the Ceprano camp has been traced, indeed surpassed, by that of the second GridShare project, that is, the shared solar park in Augusta. In this case, the choice fell on an existing system, connected to the network and “ready to work”. This choice was made to certainly speed up the project implementation time, but also to meet the needs of investors.

In fact, the Augusta Solar Park is immediately productive: this, combined with a particularly favorable agreement for the sale of energy, will allow investors to return quickly from their investment, with a much higher profit margin than that normally expected by the market (we are talking about an average of 7%).

For the Augusta solar park, an important innovation is also that of the plant's own control dashboard: which not only controls the efficiency of the different parts, but also monitors the performance of the solar park itself. And the graphic designers (with relative numbers) speak for themselves: investing in a solar farm is really profitable. Provided, of course, that you choose the most advanced technologies and that you focus on territories where sun exposure guarantees maximum performance. Precisely the choice made by GridShare, which in this way is able to guarantee results and, therefore, continuity of performance for plants and profitability for investors.

The future? The synergies between energy production and agriculture

Andrea Galeazzi offers us another look at GridShare's future projects, which intend to expand more and more both the audience of subjects who can access them and the attention to environmental protection. In fact, GridShare's next projects will also focus on agrivoltaic energy.

This particular type of photovoltaic system stands out because it is not limited, like solar energy, to exploiting the roofs of agricultural warehouses to install solar panels, but provides for a real and productive integration between photovoltaic energy production and agricultural activities.

The installation, carried out following precise schemes, of photovoltaic panels using the same land used for cultivation makes it possible to save land consumption (one of the most serious environmental problems) and to boost agricultural production. GridShare and environmental protection go hand in hand, for an increasingly sustainable technological development.

Democratizing access to photovoltaic: GridShare's' charm '

The democratization of access to the production of clean energy, such as photovoltaic energy, may seem like a complex concept to put into practice: especially since not everyone has the opportunity to install a domestic photovoltaic system.

With its projects, financed through crowdfunding, GridShare aims to overcome this limit, allowing everyone to become the owner of a part of a solar park. This means joining, thanks to a very small chip, being able to be part of projects that are aimed at the country's ecological transition and make it possible to obtain an absolutely competitive income for a small investor.

The choice of crowdfunding, therefore of participating in the shares of a company that builds and manages the solar field, also exceeds a different shared photovoltaic system, that of the Renewable Energy Communities (CERs). System that is active in different parts of the country, but too tied to territoriality.

With GridShare, Instead, anyone, wherever they are, can participate in a shared solar field. And from these projects, all the participants make a profit, always obtained through participation in the company: from the designers and creators, to the managers, up to the small financiers.

Thanks to this vision and the ability to make the most of new technologies, GridShare has given (and will continue to give) all people the opportunity to enjoy the advantages of photovoltaic energy production, contributing to the green transition in our country.
